Stay Focused.

Pray. Meditate. Take Walks.  Engage In Activities To Reduce Stress.

Fully utilize the expertise and experience of the event professionals you have hired.
 (i.e. printers, caterers, band/DJ, event coordinators, venue staff, promoters)

4.

 

Communicate regularly with your planning committee.

5.

 

If you don’t have a planning committee put one together – Now!

6.

 

Focus on completing the tasks that you are able to do yourself and
delegate or outsource the rest.

Eat Healthier Foods.  Drink Plenty of Water.

8.

 

Keep a written checklist of tasks to complete.  Review Regularly.
Make sure everyone on your team is aware of their roles and responsibilities.

When you feel overwhelmed.  Don’t Blame, Retreat or Get Angry.   Ask For Help.

10.

 

Surround yourself with positive and uplifting people.

11.

 

Keep a binder of all important documents, contracts, agreements and
other important papers. Carry the binder with you to all planning
meetings and to the venue on the day of the event.

Keep handy a contact list of important phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
 ( i.e committe members, vendors,  venue staff, guest speakers, exhibitors, etc.)  

13.

 

Put important deadlines and other dates in your calendar and set reminders. 

14.

 

The night before your event get a good night's sleep.
And arrive early on the day of your event.

Plan.  Prepare.  Persist.   And Let Go !
